Manifesting what we most aspire to naturally makes what we idealise come to a place of preference. The concept that Jota Barbosa Interiors took a trip to the Portuguese capital is in essence a provocation to what we take for granted, in a spontaneous risk that left no one indifferent.

Creative Process

The creative process of a concept is always enticing, especially when ideas flourish from a place where there are no limits. For this edition of Capital do Móvel, our interior design team bet on deconstructing the suggestions we usually present, taking risks with the nobility of the selection of materials combined with the creation of out-of-the-box design pieces.

The essence of this concept lies in emphasising and presenting in a raw way the origins of the materials, in the case of walnut root, straw and marble that gave rise to original pieces of surprising appreciation. The selection of fabrics was where novelty and irreverence lived because they were a choice outside all expectations, with striking patterns and a story to tell.
